LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Kim Grieshaber of the University of Louisville women's cross country team was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Cross Country All-Academic Team, the New Orleans-based organization announced Tuesday.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region's top 15 (or top 10 percent) in 2010.
Grieshaber, one of 99 student-athletes to earn the honor, earned her first career all-region honor in 2010, placing 21st in the 6K. Grieshaber also guided the women's team to a top-15 finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional. She took first in the team's season-opener, the Evansville Mid-America Opener, and was the team's top-placewinner in five of its six races.
