
Colin Rolfe Earns National Player of the Week Honors

Louisville, Ky. - Senior All-American Colin Rolfe was named the National Player of the Week by College Soccer News and Top Drawer Soccer for the week of Nov. 7. Rolfe led the team in scoring with four goals in the BIG EAST Tournament this week with wins over No. 23 Providence and Blue Division top seeded Marquette.
Rolfe scored his first career hat trick in the Cards' 5-0 win over Providence on Thursday night in Cardinal Park. He became the first Louisville player to score a hat trick against a ranked opponent, and the first to score one since 2005. In the second round of the BIG EAST Tournament Rolfe scored the game-winning goal for the Cardinals in the 23rd minute. The goal was his seventh of the season and his 31st career goal.
The Cardinals will face Connecticut in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament in Harrison, N.J., at Red Bull Stadium at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. The game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network.
