Louisville Head Coach Jeff Walz
"You know it's nice to get out and play someone you don't see every day so it was nice to actually get out and play a game."
(On what the team needs to work on) "Well we will get a chance to go over film tomorrow and sit down with the team and go over stuff and then we will have Tuesday off. We will work on some fundamentals in practice. We have to do a better job defensively, we really have to try and get out and deny the passing lanes. We also have to do a better job of boxing out. We rebound the ball well because we are bigger and we cannot just rely on our size and strength. We have to work on some more fundamentals."
(How much can you tell from a game like this) "Well I mean you can't tell a lot. I know we can score, it's just a matter of breaking things down. The fact that we only turned the ball over five times is very encouraging to me. If that is something that we can do throughout the year, average 12- 15 turnovers a game then that is going to be a good sign for us."
(On goals set for today) "We really didn't set a bunch of goals, I just wanted them to play hard. That was my number one thing to play hard and give efforts. I was very pleased with what they accomplished. "
(On Monny Niamke) "She played well. She is extremely athletic and she defends the ball very well. She is probably one of the best defenders that I have seen. She competed and tried to play too hard at times but that is a good problem to have."
Lindsey Wilson Head Coach John Wethington
(On the overall game) "Coach (Jeff) Walz has a great team. They have a lot of good athletes and they played well and they played hard. He's going to have a real good team this year. We were a little shorthanded. We don't have any big kids that can compete with their big kids. They shot the ball well and they rebound the ball well."
(On what his team can take away from this game) "The difference between NAIA and Division I is that they jump a little bit higher and they are a lot quicker, and that's why these kids are playing for me and the other kids are playing for him. I really appreciate Coach Walz giving us this opportunity to come up for this exhibition game. I've always been a big Louisville fan and I come to all the football games. It was a great opportunity for our kids to come up and play."
(On confidence of team after game) "You put it behind you, it's not a win and it's not a loss on our schedule. It just shows you what we have to work on."
