
Colin Rolfe and Dylan Mares Earn National Honors

Louisville, Ky. - Colin Rolfe and Dylan Mares earned were named to the Top Drawer Soccer Teams of the Season. Rolfe was named to the second team while Mares was named to the All-Rookie second team.
Rolfe earns the honor for the second consecutive season. The junior forward leads the team in scoring with seven goals and six assists for 20 points on the year. He has scored three game-winning goals for the Cardinals, including the game-winner in the Cardinals' NCAA second round game. Rolfe was named a first team All-BIG EAST selection and was named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the BIG EAST Tournament. He has also earned numerous player of the week honors throughout the season.
Mares became the second Cardinal to earn BIG EAST Rookie of the Year honors. The freshman midfielder ranks second on the team in scoring with eight goals and three assists for 19 points. He leads the team in goals scored with eight and has three game-winning goals on the year. Mares was also named a second team All-BIG EAST selection and an All-Rookie team selection. Like Rolfe, Mares also earned numerous player of the week honors throughout the year.
The Cardinals will host Ohio State in the third round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Cardinal Park.
