
Women's Basketball to Host Cincinnati on Tuesday Night

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will host Cincinnati in Freedom Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be televised live on CSTV as the BIG EAST Game of the Week.
Junior Angel McCoughtry leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 23.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. Candyce Bingham is second on the team in scoring and rebounding with 13.6 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Senior point guard Patrika Barlow leads the team and the league in assists with 7.3 per game.
Cincinnati enters the game with an overall record of 10-5 and a BIG EAST record of 1-2. Cincinnati has four players averaging double figures. Sophomore guard Kahla Roudebush leads the team in scoring with 16.6 points per game. Junior forward Jill Stephens is second in scoring with 15.5 points while also leading the team in rebounding with 10.6 boards per game. Freshman guard Teishia Benson averages 11.6 points and sophomore Carla Jacobs averages 11.3 points per game.
The game will be the 55th meeting between the two teams, making it longest running BIG EAST series for the Cardinals. Louisville leads the series 30-24 over the Bearcats. Last season the Cardinals came from behind to defeat the Bearcats 67-62 in the BIG EAST opener. Louisville has won five of the last six meetings over the Bearcats. Louisville owns an 18-5 record against the Bearcats at home.
