SEATTLE - - The No. 42-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team fell to No. 56 Texas Tech 4-1 Friday in the Great Northwest Shootout.
"Slavko Radman played like an all-American today, he played almost pro-level tennis level and we're very proud of him," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Unfortunately we've got some stale spots in our lineup that need freshening up and that's what we'll do tomorrow."
Texas Tech took the doubles point to start the match. Bojan Szumanski and Christian Rojmar teamed to beat No. 24-ranked Slavko Radman and Damar Johnson 8-6 at the top seed. Teddy DiBlasi and Dimitrio Martinez 8-6 at No. 3.
In singles action, Milo Kustudija picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kenneth Nordheim at No. 6 to put the Red Raiders ahead 2-0. Micheal Breler made the score 3-0 with his 7-5, 6-1 win over freshman Horatiu Oltean at No. 5.
