Cards Earn Five Race Wins at Head of the Eagle

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Louisville rowing team sent several crews to Eagle Creek Park on Saturday earning five race wins at the Head of the Eagle Regatta hosted by the Indianapolis Rowing Center.
The Cards opened the day with a win in the Open Novice 8+ final covering the course in a time of 16 minutes, 48.51 seconds, more than one minute ahead of second place Purdue.
U of L also earned wins in the Open 2- event with a time of 17:56.73 and the Open 4x event with a time of 16:02.97, and the Cards closed the day with wins in the Open 8+ final with a time of 14:47.76 and the Open 4+ final with a time of 16:36.04.
"This was a great way to start the fall season, and excellent preparation for both the novice and varsity squads heading into our next race," said Cards' novice head coach Andrea Buch.
The Cards will next compete at the Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta on Nov. 3-4 in Chattanooga, Tenn.
