NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The No. 21-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team fell to No. 65 Old Dominion 4-0 Saturday at Huntington Park. ODU improves to 19-7 while U of L falls to 13-5.

The Monarchs began the match by sweeping doubles as the team of Harel Srugo and Alex Seleznev defeated Jakob Gustafsson and Jeremy Clark 8-4 at the top seed. Nate Grover and Rodrigo Souza combined to beat Louisville's Jhonny Berrido and Damar Johnson 8-4 at the two spot and ODU's Eidy Igarashi and Matt Sands completed the doubles sweep by edging Slavko Radman and Stefan Naughton 8-7 at No. 3.

Old Dominion picked up single wins at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 to win the match. At the No. 1 seed, Srugo, No. 29 in the ITA singles rankings, defeated No. 96 Radman 7-5, 6-1 at the top seed. No. 78 Igarashi topped Johnson 6-4, 6-3 at No. 2. Souza closed out the match with a 7-6, 6-3 decision over Clark at No. 4.

"We are still trying to find our game on the road," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "Some weaknesses have surfaced and we need to fix them quickly before the BIG EAST and NCAA tournaments. Hopefully some new faces off the bench will give us the help we need."

The Cards will continue their road swing with an 11:00 a.m. matchup at No. 62 William & Mary (9-12) Sunday.
