LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team hosted its annual media day activities Friday at Cardinal Arena on the U of L campus to officially open the 2006-07 season. Head coach Tom Collen and the Cardinal players discussed the upcoming season, the program's second in the BIG EAST Conference, with members of the media.
On Thursday, the Cards were picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST Conference in 2006-07 by the league's head coaches, while senior center Jazz Covington was a unanimous selection to the 10-player Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.
The Cardinals will play their only exhibition game on Nov. 3 against the Hoosier Lady Stars at 8 p.m. ET at Bellarmine University's Knights Hall. UofL will open the regular-season on Nov. 10 at Knights Hall against Dayton in the first of three games in the Cardinal Classic.
