
Cards Win Three of Four Races Against Indiana on Saturday

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Louisville rowing team won three of four scrimmage races against Indiana University on Saturday afternoon on Lake Lemon.
The Cards' second varsity eight crew turned in a time of 17 minutes, 13 seconds to defeat the Hoosiers' third varsity eight crew with a time of 17:18, while IU's second varsity crew finished in third with a time of 17:57. IU's novice eight crew was next at 20:12, followed by the Cards' novice eight (21:03) and the Cards' second novice eight (22:31).
Both the Cards and Hoosiers competed without their respective varsity eights, which were in Boston, Mass., for the annual Head of the Charles Regatta. UofL and IU also squared off in three two-minute pieces on Saturday in Bloomington, with the Cardinals claiming victory in two of them.
Up next, the Cards will close out the fall racing season at the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta on Oct. 28 in Philadelphia, Pa.
