LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Khara Smith had 18 points and 15 rebounds to lead No. 17 DePaul to a 70-60 win over Louisville on Saturday.
Jenna Rubino and Allie Quigley each added 16 points for the Blue Demons (18-3, 7-1 Conference USA), who won their seventh straight game and snapped Louisville's six-game winning streak.
Jazz Covington scored 26 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for Louisville (15-6, 6-2), which had won 17 consecutive games at Freedom Hall. But Covington was the only Cardinal in double figures.
The Cardinals trailed by five at halftime and never led, but two free throws by Covington cut Louisville's deficit to 50-47 with 9:09 to go. Baskets by Rubino and Quigley started a 10-3 DePaul run, and the Blue Demons had control the rest of the way.
The Cardinals shot poorly the entire game, finishing at 34 percent (22-of-64).
DePaul, the nation's highest scoring team, shot only 43 percent (28-of-65) and was held 15 points below its average.
