Louisville Head Coach Tom Collen:
"I think that Cincinnati came in and played very relaxed and they played very hard which helped them get off to such a great start. To their credit they are a good team and they are going down to Charlotte and they are going to battle. We knew that we were going to get a good game, and I thought that we had a good effort tonight."
"We got down 15-3 and were able to keep our composure. We battled back and I am just proud of them. I think that there was a lot more pressure on us then there was Cincinnati. They had every reason to want to come in here and disrupt our season."
"The seniors have been a great group. Nina Simotes is an outstanding young lady and is the scholar athlete on our team. She works hard and has accepted her role on this team and has helped us. She probably made the biggest shot in the game when we beat Houston last year."
"Joleen Philips has been a good defensive player for us and a good student athlete that we are going to be losing. I was happy for her that she was willing to take the risk to play at this level."
"Angel Bradley truly is an angel. She is such a giver and a playmaker for us. I don't know what we would have done without her tonight, and she has done that time and time again for us. She is a tremendous person and a pretty good student as well. I am not sure that we will ever put together another class like this that is just full of all-around good people."
Senior guard Angel Bradley
"I held off all of my emotions trying to stay focused for the game. It just all came out after the game was over, and I am still fighting it."
"It has seems like such a short period of time here at Louisville. I have enjoyed every minute of it, the good times and the bad times. It has made me grow up while I have enjoyed playing the game."
"Cincinnati always plays us hard. We knew that the game was going to be very physical for us. We are in the spot and they wanted to come in and spoil our senior night. It was a great game!"
"We got a good shot at going to the tournament (NCAA), but we do not want to depend on that. We want to get a few more good wins to help our case. We are not going to leave it up to anyone else; we are going to try to do it ourselves."
