
Men's Soccer to Face Kentucky Tuesday in Cardinal Park

Louisville, Ky. - The Louisville men's soccer team host Kentucky in Cardinal Park on Tuesday, Sept. 7 at 7:00 p.m. The Cards will play its third game in five days when it hosts the Wildcats. "It's a great team rivalry," said head coach Tony Colavecchia. "They are a very well coached team and it will be a tough match. It will be a great game for the fans, and hopefully we will have a packed stadium." The Cards will enter the game with a 2-0 record after winning the Hilton Garden Inn-Airport Classic this weekend. Senior forward Justin Pierre won MVP honors after scoring three goals in the Classic. The Wildcats are currently 0-2 on the season after suffering tough losses to No. 7 SMU and No. 17 Tulsa over the weekend in the SMU Mi Cocina Classic. Last season the Cardinals fell to the Wildcats 2-1 in a double overtime victory.
