The Pre-National race schedule is set to begin at 12 p.m. ET with the women's 6,000-meter Blue Race, followed by the women's 6,000-meter White Race at 12:35 p.m. The U of L men will compete in the 8,000-meter Blue Race at 1:10 p.m. and that race will be followed by the men's 8,000-meter White Race at 1:50 p.m. The U of L women will compete in the 6,000-meter Open Race at 2:30 p.m. and the schedule will close with the men's 8,000-meter Open Race at 3:05 p.m.

"Our women's team is working very hard and doing everything that we ask of them," said U of L head coach Ron Mann. "We've had some injury problems, but overall they're getting better and making progress each week."
Following this week's meet, the Cards will have a week off from competition before returning for the Conference USA Championships on Oct. 30 hosted by DePaul University in Chicago, Ill.
