Bowling Green, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team fell to Western Michigan 1-0 in the first round of the WKU Tournament in Bowling Green, Ky. Friday night. The Cardinals fall to 1-1 on the season and Western Michigan improves to 3-0.
The game was scoreless in the first half, with Cardinal keeper Brad Sokolowski collecting three saves in the opening period. Western Michigan's Scott Duhl scored the winning goal off an assist from Edgar Rivera in the 72nd minute of play.
The Cards will face Xavier in the second round on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 1:00 p.m.
