
Women's Basketball to Host Battle of the Bluegrass

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will look to improve its win streak against the Wildcats tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in Freedom Hall. After defeating No. 11 Vanderbilt 92-82 on Thursday night, the Cards (7-4) are hoping to improve their win streak to five.
Kentucky (7-4) is currently riding a five game win streak into the matchup. On New Year's Eve the Wildcats defeated preseason C-USA favorite Cincinnati 69-67 in Memorial Coliseum.
The Cardinals are led in scoring and rebounding by senior Lori Nero with 19.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. Since Nero gained eligibility, the Cardinals are 5-1 with the only loss coming at the hands of No. 2 LSU. Junior point guard Sara Nord is second in scoring with 14.2 points per game and also dishes out 7.3 assists per game.
The Wildcats are led in scoring by senior guard Rita Adams. Adams is averaging 14.2 points per game. Guards Sara Potts and Jenny Pfeiffer rank second and third on the team in scoring with 13.3 and 11.1 points respectively. Junior SeSe Helm leads the Cats on the boards with 6.4 rebounds per game.
