Nero Earns Player of the Week Honors

Louisville, Ky. - Senior center Lori Nero earned co-Conference USA Player of the Week honors for the week of Jan. 20. Nero finished the week averaging 21.5 points and 14.5 rebounds as the Cardinals swept Houston and TCU.
Nero scored a career-high 30 points and pulled down a career-high 22 rebounds in the Cards' win against Houston on Friday night. Against Houston, she went 10 of 10 from the charity stripe. Despite being triple teamed against TCU, Nero finished the game with 12 points and seven rebounds. Nero also went 4 of 4 from the line.
Nero leads the Cardinals, averaging 17.9 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
