Men's Tennis Falls to Memphis 4-2

Corpus Christi, Texas - The University of Louisville men's tennis team fell to Memphis 4-2, in the semi-finals of the H.E.B. Collegiate Team Championships on Saturday.
The Cardinals won the doubles point as Cody Conley and Octavian Nicodim edged Ben Stapp and Lee Taylor Walker 9-8 at No. 1 and Matt Mayer and Brent McCombe defeated Alex Bucewica 8-6 at No. 3.
Paulo Carvalho recorded the Cardinals' only singles point with his 6-4, 6-1 win over Joe Schmulian at the two spot. For Memphis, Stapp defeated Conley 7-5, 6-3 at the top seed, Richard Magney beat Nicodim 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, Alex Bucewicz defeated Alex Sivertsen in three sets 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 at No. 5 and Michael Chamberlain topped McCombe 6-3, 7-6 at the six seed.
