Louisville, Ky. - After winning three straight road games, the University of Louisville men's soccer team will host Conference USA opponent TCU in Cardinal Park at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2. After struggling most of the season with injuries to key starters, the Cardinals have compiled a 3-1-1 record in their last five games.
Last season's leading scorer and all-conference performer Simon Bird returned to the lineup five games ago, sparking the Cardinals' latest streak. In those five games, Bird has scored three goals, including the game winner against South Florida.
Junior Nathan Stephens has also returned to the lineup after missing most of the season with a foot injury. Since his return Stephens has scored two goals and added two assists.
Freshman Jelani Grant leads the team in scoring this season with four goals and one assist. Grant scored the game winning goal against Cincinnati on Wednesday night. Freshman keeper Brad Sokolowski has started in the last seven games, collecting 41 saves and two shutouts on the season.
Following the TCU game, the Cardinals will finish out the season at home hosting Charlotte on Nov. 6 and DePaul on Nov. 9.
