TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team fell to No. 18 Indiana State 4-3 on Tuesday at Indiana State.
The Sycamores swept the doubles to gain an early advantage. In singles action, Louisville got wins from Joachim Lien who defeated Stefan Hirn 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2., Cody Conley won at No. 5 with his 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 decision over Henry Choi and Matt Mayer improved his singles winning streak to 15 with his 6-2, 6-4 win over Andres Intriago at No. 6. Indiana State's Jonas Piibor outlasted Tvrtko Kujundzic 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at the top seed, while Paulo Carvalho and Oliver Cantrell fell in straight sets at Nos. 3 and 4 respectively.
U of L (16-7) will play host to Ball State Sunday, April 8 at 1 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
