Rowing Team Concludes Fall Season

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - The University of Louisville rowing team concluded its fall season over the weekend at a pair of events in Gainesville, Ga.
At the Head of the Chattahoochee Regatta on Saturday, the Cardinals placed eighth in the Varsity 8+ race with a time of 17:49. Clemson won the 21-team race in 16:50.
In the Varsity 4+ event, the Cardinals placed two crews among the top-11. The Cards' "A" boat finished fourth in 19:22, while the "B" boat was 11th (20:11). Duke won the 20-boat race in 18:38.
On Sunday, Louisville's Varsity 8+ team placed third overall at the Chattahoochee Chase with a time of 18:27. Texas won the race in 17:59.
"This weekend concluded a successful fall season for us," said head coach Richard Ruggieri. "We are going to have to work hard and get deeper this winter so that we can come out in the spring with more speed and more depth on our squad. We are looking forward to the spring season."
