LAWRENCE, Kan. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team defeated Arkansas-Little Rock 4-3 on Sunday at the Alvamar Racquet Club at the University of Kansas.

The Cards swept the doubles as the team of Tvrtko Kujundzic and Joachim Lien defeated Mariano Pettigrosso and Domenico Marra 8-4 at the top seed. Cody Conley and Brent McCombe won over Luciano Diez and Alexei Poutchinets 8-5 at No. 2 and Alex Sivertsen and Oliver Cantrell claimed No. 3 doubles with an 8-3 win over Mithun Murali and Juan Carlos Baca.

In singles, U of L's Kujundzic won a hard-fought battle at No. 1 as he beat Pettigrosso 6-4, 4-6, 1-0(13-11). Lien posted a singles point at No. 2 with a 2-6, 6-3, 1-0(10-7) victory over Marra. Brent McCombe secured another singles win for the Cardinals when he defeated Poutchinets 4-6, 7-6, 1-0(11-9) at the six spot.

Louisville (4-2) will play host to IUPUI, Dayton and Saint Louis on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Match times are scheduled for 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. respectively.
