Toledo, OH -- The men's and women's swim teams were swept by Toledo with the men falling 151-89 and the women's falling 168-73.
"We had some fine individual efforts today," said Rick Hill, U of L's head coach. "We raced well in spots but didn't get the team points were we needed them."
Catherine Dievendorf's wins in the 200-Free and the 200-fly was a highlight for the women's efforts. Diver Tara Tokarczyk finished second in both the 1- and 3-meter
Vinnie Souza was a double winner for the Cardinals on the men's side, with victories in the the 200-free and the 500-free. Joseph Mittel won the 200-back to stay unbeaten this weekend in that event. Diver Sean Wilkinson swept both boards, edging Toledo's Bryan Franzen by just three points. His score of 282.72 in the 3-meter diving was more than enough to win the event.
"I saw some good effort out there tonight, better than the score indicated, as we get farther into the season, things will really start to come around," said Hill.
