
Swimmers Edged at Bowling Green State

"Although we had a strong training session in Florida over the break, it was good to compete again. We have a long season and we are now back into the meat of our schedule," said Rick Hill, whose teams have not competed since Nov. 10.
Nils Lofgren was a double winner for the Cardinals with a fist in the 200-IM and the 100-fly. Vinnie Souza won the 200-Free with Jacob Grieb taking the 50-Free and Joseph Mittel winning the 100-Back.
Diver Sean Wilkinson had a strong showing in the one meter diving with a 271.20 score, almost 80 points ahead of the nearest BGSU finisher. Cardinal Richard Marshner was second with a score of 222.97.
The women were led by first place finishes by Karen Annear in the 100-back, Madelyn Gaines in the 100-breast and Catherine Dievendorf in the 500-Free. Angela Hong won the 200-IM. Tara Tokarczyk took second in the 3-meter diving with Katie Collins finishing second in the 1-meter diving.
The Cardinals swim at Toledo tomorrow at 1 p.m.
