Nashville, Tenn. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 3-0 tonight at Vanderbilt soccer field. The Cardinals improve to 1-1 on the season and the Commodores drop to 0-2.
Senior Stuart Langrish scored the Cardinals first goal in the 19th minute of play. Langrish hit the left side of the net off an assist from Sean Murphy. Louisville native Justin Prather scored Louisville's second goal in the 31st minute. Prather scored off a cross from Stuart Langrish.
Senior Adam Ottembrajt headed the ball in off a corner kick from Stuart Langrish in the 35th minute of play.
Junior goalkeeper Jeremy Morales recorded two saves and his first shutout of the season.
Louisville will take on No. 14 SMU on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Saint Louis Soccer Classic.
