
Men's Soccer Falls 2-0 at No. 12 Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Louisville men's soccer team fell to No. 12 Indiana 2-0 in Bloomington Thursday night. Louisville falls to 5-3 on the season and Indiana improves to 5-3.
Junior goalkeeper Jeremy Morales was issued a red card in the eighth minute of play in the first half. He was issued the red card for a hand ball outside the goalie box. Sophomore Francis Dumont took over the duties at goalkeeper for the veteran Morales.
The game remained scoreless after the first half of play. The Hoosiers outshot the Cardinals 7-1 in the first half. Morales picked up two saves in the half and Dumont collected one.
Hoosier midfield Phil Presser scored an unassisted goal straight up the middle in the 68th minute. Senior Matt Fundenberger scored Indiana's second goal off a penalty kick in the 71st minute.
"I thought that we held them very tight tonight, considering the circumstances," said head coach Tony Colavecchia. "But there are no excuses, IU played very well tonight. I was proud of this team but just disappointed with the injuries that we incurred tonight."
Louisville will be in action again on Sunday, Sept. 24 at 3:00 p.m. against Alabama A&M in Cardinal Park.
