Battle of the Bluegrass Begins Friday Night in Cardinal Park

Louisville, Ky. -- - The Battle of the Bluegrass will kickoff Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in the grand opening of Cardinal Park. The Louisville men's soccer team will host the Kentucky Wildcats for the 18th time in the series history.
The series is locked up at 7-7-3 but last season U of L defeated the Wildcats 2-0 on their home field.
Louisville returns all its starters from a squad that finished 9-8-2 last season, marking its first winning season since 1985. Preseason All-Conference USA performers Shawn Faria and Stuart Langrish will lead the 2000 Cardinal squad for their debut in Cardinal Park.
The Wildcats finished 13-7-1 last season but lost its two top scorers to graduation.
