LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team beat Indiana 4-3 for the second win over a Big Ten school in a week at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center Saturday.
Indiana is currently ranked No. 5 in the Midwest Region and No. 32 of the 276 in Division I tennis. The Cardinals beat Michigan State last Saturday.
"This win will carry a lot of weight during the NCAA tournament selection," said head coach Rex Ecarma. "We are in our `attack mode' and are ready for anybody."
"I am very pleased with Tvrtko Kujundzic, who defeated No. 20-ranked Toby Hansson of SMU and No. 84 ranked Milan Rakvica of IU in back-to-back matches this week. I expect him to be nationally ranked himself during the next ranking period," said Ecarma.
Kujundzic won 6-1, 7-6 at No. 1 singles and also notched a win in doubles, pairing with Joachim Lieu to win No. 2 doubles 8-5.
