SERIES
•   Louisville holds a 2-1 lead all-time against Siena in a series dating back to 1953. Wednesday's game marked the first ever meeting between the teams in the city of Louisville.
•   The Cardinals have a collective 20-5 record against current members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, having faced seven of its 11 members.
TEAM
•   Wednesday's game against Siena was the first of four for the Cardinals in the Houzz Gotham Classic presented by TicketIQ, a five-team, round-robin event. Three of Louisville's games will be played in the KFC Yum! Center (Dec. 11 vs. Bryant, Dec. 20 vs. Albany) and one against Memphis in New York's Madison Square Garden. •   With 17 points, 13 rebounds and nine blocked shots, senior Anas Mahmoud achieved his second career double-double and the first this season while also falling one blocked shot shy of registering the fifth triple-double in program history.
•   The 17 points for Mahmoud equaled a career high matching the total against Duke on Jan. 14, 2017.
•   The 13 rebounds for Mahmoud were a career high, two more than his previous best of 11 versus Duke Jan. 14, 2017.
•   The nine blocked shots for Mahmoud set a career high, one better than his eight against Omaha on Nov. 17, 2017.
•   Mahmoud's nine blocked shots were the most by a Louisville player since Kendall Dartez had nine in a 56-40 win over Holy Cross on Dec. 7, 2003.
•      Mahmoud has blocked at least one shot in all seven games this season and 16 straight games overall dating back to last season.
•   Mahmoud has blocked at least one shot in 61 of his 90 career games at Louisville.
