•   Friday marked the first ever meeting between the Cardinals and Mavericks on the hardwood.
•   Louisville has a 5-2 record against current members of the Summit League, having faced four of its eight members.

•   Louisville has opened with victories in each of its first two games in 11 consecutive seasons.Â

•   The 53 rebounds on Friday were the most for the Cardinals since finishing with 53 rebounds against Clemson on Jan. 2016.Â
•   Louisville moved to 181-10 in the last 17 seasons when scoring 80 or more points.
PLAYER
•   Junior Deng Adel led the Cardinals in scoring for the second consecutive game after finishing with a game-high 21 points on 7-for-8 shooting from the field and 7-for-8 shooting from the free throw line.
•   Adel delivered his fourth career scoring performance of 20 or more points, including his second in as many games.
•   Friday's performance was Adel's 27th career double-figure scoring performance.
•   The seven made free throws for Adel equaled a career high matching the total achieved on Nov. 14, 2016 against William & Mary and again on Feb. 26, 2017 against Syracuse.
•   Junior Ray Spalding scored a career-high 19 points, one point better than his previous high total of 18 points against North Florida on Nov. 21, 2015 and against Syracuse on Feb. 26, 2017.
•   Spalding was 9-for-18 from the field setting career highs for field goals made and attempted. His previous career high for made field goals was eight against North Florida on Nov. 21, 2015 and against Syracuse on Feb. 26, 2017.
•   Spalding's previous career high for field goal attempts was 10 against North Florida on Nov. 21, 2015 and against Virginia on Jan. 30, 2016.
•   Spalding pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds, one shy of career-high total of 12.
•   Coming off the bench, senior Anas Mahmoud registered his second straight double-figure scoring performance with 10 points on 5-for-9 shooting from the field.
•   Mahmoud swatted a career-best eight blocked shots, two more than his previous high of six set against Wichita State on Nov. 24, 2016 and matched against Notre Dame on Jan. 4, 2017.
•   After logging just six minutes in the season-opening win against George Mason, Dwayne Sutton finished with 10 rebounds while playing 18 minutes in Friday's win.
•   Friday's game marked the first collegiate start for freshman Malik Williams, who had season highs with eight points, four rebounds and three blocked shots.
