CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - Jobey Thomas tied his career high with seven 3-pointers on his way to 25 points as Charlotte beat Louisville 74-68 Wednesday night.
Louisville (10-17, 6-7 Conference USA) led 45-39 after an alley-oop basket by Reece Gaines with 17:32 left in the game.
The 49ers (16-9, 8-5) then went on a 10-0 run to take control of the contest.
Rodney White had 15 of his 19 points in the second half for the 49ers.
Charlotte jumped out to 12-3 lead at the beginning of the game, but Louisville answered with a 23-6 spurt to take a 26-18 lead with 9:20 remaining in the first half.
The Cardinal combination of Erik Brown and Marques Maybin was particularly effective in the first 20 minutes. The pair combined for 33 points, with Brown accounting for 18 on 7-of-10 shooting from the field.
Maybin finished with 22 points while Brown had 20.
