LOUISVILLE, Ky. -Tony Stanley scored a career-high 28 points and Dayton went 11-of-16 from 3-point range in a 91-68 win over Louisville on Saturday.
Yuanta Holland added 14 points and Brooks Hall added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Flyers (7-4), who shot a season-high 64 percent from the floor (36-of-56) and won for the fifth time in six games.
Bryant Northern scored a career-high 13 and Erik Brown added 10 to lead Louisville (4-7), which had a two-game winning streak snapped. Marques Maybin, the Cardinals' leading scorer at 22 points per game, was held to season-low seven points on 2-of-8 shooting.
Dayton pushed a 15-point halftime lead to 20 early in the second half. Maybin scored just his second basket of the game with 15:56 left and Northern hit a layup with 15:14 remaining to cut Dayton's lead to 57-41.
Layups by Stanley and David Morris in the next minute restored Dayton's 20-point lead and two free throws by Keith Walekowski with 13:21 left gave the Flyers their biggest lead to that point at 63-41.
The Cardinals got no closer than 18 points the rest of the way.
Dayton outrebounded Louisville 33-21, the eighth time in 11 games the Cardinals have lost the battle on the boards.
The Flyers went 8-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half and led 50-35 at halftime.
Louisville center Muhammed Lasege, who hadn't seen action in two years while awaiting an NCAA ruling on his eligibility, entered Saturday's game with 7:31 left in the first half and Dayton leading 26-21.
The Flyers mounted a 16-2 run over the next four minutes. Lasege left the game with 3:36 remaining in the half and Stanley finished the run with a midcourt steal and breakaway layup with 3:22 left for a 42-23 Dayton lead.
Dayton sank 20-of-33 shots (61 percent) and held Maybin to two points in the first half.
