Riley Ewing joined the University of Louisville lacrosse program as an assistant coach in August 2025.Â
She came to Louisville after serving as an assistant coach at George Mason for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. In her first year on staff, the Patriots opened the 2024 season with a 6-0 record for the first time in program history as they went on to post 10 wins and earn a spot in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals for the first time since 2019. George Mason finished the 2024 campaign ranked No. 27 nationally in draw control percentage. The 2025 campaign saw new school records established for individual single season and career draw controls.
Ewing brings an impressive playing resume to Louisville, most recently helping Team USA win gold at the inaugural Women's Box Lacrosse Championship in 2024. In the tournament, scored seven goals, including the tying goal in the championship game against Canada and registered five assists in the tournament.
Collegiately, she played for The Ohio State University from 2018-22. During her time there, she was a three-year starter and a three-time Big Ten Academic Honor Roll honoree. An attacker who also specialized in the draw control, Ewing finished her career ranked seventh all-time in Buckeye history with 119 draw control wins. She also sits at fifth all-time for draw controls in a single season with 71 in 2019, and is ranked among the Buckeyes' top 10 with a career-high 10 draw controls in a single game.
The Marietta, Ga., native was inducted into the Walton High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2025.
After graduating from Ohio State with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Ohio State in 2021, Ewing went on to earn her Master of Science in Applied Economics in 2022.
