Arteaga brings a wealth of experience and a competitive edge to the University of Louisville's women's tennis team. A native of Colombia, she was a standout junior player, achieving a national ranking in the top 10 across the U14, U16, and U18 categories. Arteaga proudly represented Bolivar in the Interligas Tournament and wore the colors of Colombia in prestigious COSAT tournaments during her U16 years.
Transitioning to international competition, she showcased her talent in Rouen, France, where she excelled in interclub tournaments, notably clinching the “Open Yainville Title” in 2018. Her collegiate career at Union Commonwealth University was marked by remarkable success; she played at the top of the singles and doubles lineup for four years, earning All-American honors twice (2022 and 2023) and leading her team to victory in the Women’s AAC Conference Tournament in 2023.
Arteaga’s coaching journey includes two seasons at IMG Academy/Bollettieri, where she honed her skills in developing young talent. Additionally, she gained valuable experience in marketing during her year at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.
Arteaga earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication with a minor in Exercise Science from Union Commonwealth University and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Communication at the University of Louisville+ while working at the Office of Communications and Marketing as a graduate assistant.
