2020-21: In the COVID-shortened season, Elle did not row in head-to-head competition.
Prior to UofL: Ava rowed for Sarasota Crew for five years. She was a competitive figure skater for seven years before rowing. She switched to Coxing during her junior year. Ava raced at Nationals in Women’s Lightweight 8+, placed second at Club Nationals in PennAC WU19 8+, and is a three-time state champion (’16, ‘18, ’19). She placed 4th at the State Championship in Women’s Lightweight single and raced Lightweight 4+ and Lightweight 8+ at Southeast Regionals. Ava was a 2018 Sarasota/Manatee Debutante. She attended Lakewood Ranch High School in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
