Junior: Transferred from Lincoln College. Tyler only dove in the fall in dual meets against Notre Dame and Tennessee. He did not compete in the spring.
Lincoln College: Tyler Clingerman, a junior-college transfer, comes to Louisville from Lincoln College in Normal, Ill. In 2010, Clingerman was named NJCAA Diver of the Year after placing first on both the 1- and 3-meter springboard at the 2010 NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. In 2011, he was the Diver of the Year after sweeping both boards again at the NJCAA Nationals. He was an NISCA All-American.
Prep: Prepped at Plainfield High School in Plainfield, Ind., where he was a high school All-American and runner-up on the 1-meter springboard at the 2009 Indiana High School State Meet.
Personal: Son of David and Debbie Clingerman. Born Oct. 28, 1990. Major is exercise science.
