Junior: Luke added valuable points all year as a junior. At the BIG EAST, he made the A-final in the 400-IM and posted a time of 3:58.00 and a seventh place finish. He made the Consols in the 200-IM with a time of 1:49.32, a lifetime best. He was third in the B-final in the 200-breast with a time of 2:02.08, also a lifetime best. At the 2008 British Olympic Trials, he was a finalist in the 200-IM with an eighth place finish in 2:08.04, a lifetime best. In both 2008 and 2009, he won the Iron Cardinal Award and Dryland MVP.
Sophomore: As a sophomore, Luke set three lifetime bests. He set his best time in the 200-breast at the 2008 BIG EAST Championships. He set a new best in the 200-free at Cincinnati and a new mark in the 200-fly in the win over Western Kentucky. His performance in the 400-IM earned him a berth in the B-Final. In 2006-07, Luke set lifetime bests in both the 200-IM and 400-IM in the 2007 BIG EAST.
Freshman: As a freshman, he had his fastest time of the year in the 200-IM at the BIG EAST championship. He gained the B-Final in the 400-IM to score points for the Cardinals.
Prep: Luke came to U of L from Kelly College in the United Kingdom. He won the 200-IM in the 2005 Western Counties meet. He placed eleventh in the 200-IM at the British Youth Championships. He was the Kelly College Senior Captain. He was selected for the Regional and County squads. He chose U of L over University of Wales Swansea, Conventry University and Missouri State. In England, he swam for Robin Brew.
Personal: He is the son of Lee Hiscock and Pamela Wakefield. Major is sport and exercise science. He was born on July 12, 1988.
