Freshman: Joe is able to swim several events, but competes in most individual medley races, along with butterfly. Joe posted several fast times at the Michigan Invite, making his 100-fly, 200-fly, and 400-IM his season-best at this meet. His times were 50.67, 1:48.38, and 3:59.88, respectively. He swam his best 200-IM versus Kentucky, going 1:56.45. He bested those times at the conference championships, while gaining a B-cut in the 200-fly. Joe went a 1:51.14 in the 200-IM, 3:57.37, and 1:47.01 in the 200-fly.

Prep: Joe Brown is from El Paso, Texas where he swam for the Desert Sharks Swim Club and for Eastwood High School. Brown was third place in the 100-butterfly at his High School State Championships, regional record holder in the 200-IM and 100-butterfly. He is a Junior National finalist in the 400-meter IM, 200-butterfly and the 400-IM. Brown is a three- time USA Swimming Scholastic All- American, and a four- time All- American.
