Andrei returns to the University of Louisville as a 2008 Beijing Olympian. Andrei clinched his spot by winning the 50-meter freestyle along with establishing a new Belarus national record of 22.72 in July. Prior to Beijing, Andrei participated in the NCAAs where he swam the leadoff leg in both the 200-free relay (15th) and the 400-free relay. He anchored the 200-medley relay (15th) and 400-medley relay (13th). He earned his berth at the NCAAs with a breakout performance at the 2008 BIG EAST Championships, where he was named the men's Swimmer of the Meet. He won the 100-freestyle and the 200-freestyle, both BIG EAST marks. He anchored the BIG EAST record setting 400-medley relay. He swam the leadoff leg of the 400-free relay that touched first and set another BIG EAST mark.. He swam the leadoff leg of the BIG EAST Championship 200-free relay team. In all, he was a seven-time All-BIG EAST selection. He was awarded the L-Club award as U of L's best junior athlete. Andrei transferred to U of L from the University of Belarus. He came to the Ville with extensive international competition experience. In he summer of 2007, he represented Belarus in the World University Games in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2007, he finished second in the Belarus National Championship in the 100-meter freestyle. In 2006, he qualified in the 50-meter free in the Belarus National Championship. In 2005, he finished fifth in the World Cup Championship held in Moscow. Personal: He is the son of Nina and Vladimir Radzionau. He was born June 16, 1985. He plans on majoring in geography.
