Bio
2024-25: Ally Boynton handles backstroke and freestyle for the University of Louisville. In a meet against Indiana and Wisconsin, she finished fifth in the 100 back (53.82) and seventh in the 200 back (1:56.32). At a meet in Tennessee, she placed fifth in both the 100 back (1:04.40) and 200 backstroke (2:20.14) in LCM.
2023-24: Ally primarily swam the backstroke for the Cardinals. She qualified for the ACC Championships where she scored 13 points in her first year as a Cardinal. She went 23.45 to place 47th in the 50 freestyle and 54.49 to place 32nd in the 100 back and turned in a 1:56.38 in prelims to make the 200 back B-finals where she went 1:55.39. During the dual season, she swam both the 100 and 200 backstroke, finishing second in the 100 (53.57) and third in the 200 back (1:55.95). In the three-way dual with Indiana and Wisconsin, she was fifth in the 100 back (53.82) and seventh in the 200 back (1:56.32). Swimming in LCM at Tennessee, she placed fifth in both the 100 (1:04.40) and 200 backstroke (2:20.14).
2022-23 (At Utah Tech): She was the 2023 silver medalist in the 200 Back (SCY) and the 2023 silver medalist in the 100 Back (SCY) at the Western Athletic Conference Championships. In 2022, she was the gold medalist in the 200 Back (LCM) at the Utah Long Course Championships.
2021-22: She earned Academic All-WAC honors in 2021-22.
At Woods Cross High School: Earned four varsity letters and broke three individual school records and was part of two record-breaking relay teams. She was a three-time region champion in the 50 free and a 2021 region champ in the 100 back and swam to a state runner-up showing in both the 50 free and 100 back. In all, she was a six-time Utah 5A finalisth. She was a Futures Qualifier in the 50 and100 free and 100 and 200 back.
Personal: Daughter of Aaron and Lindsey Boynton. Born August 28, 2003. Majoring in exercise science and pre-physical therapy.
