Freshman: Murphy added to the Cardinals' diving depth as she placed fourth in the AAC Women's Platform Diving Finals with a score of 240.95. She added a sixth place finish on the 3-meter with her personal record of 281.30 and a seventh place finish on the 1-meter with a score of 250.15 at the AAC Championships. Murphy started off the season with a victory on the 3-meter springboard against Xavier when she scored 280.88. She placed second on the 1-meter against UNC and third on the 3-meter against Indiana.

Prep: Alessandra Murphy joins the Cardinals from Walled Lake, Michigan where she competed for Legacy Diving. Murphy was crowned Michigan state champion in 2010 and 2012, and placed fourth at the East Nationals on 3- meter. She was also awarded All- Conference honors in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
