Freshman: Dodd competed in six meets during her first year with the Cardinals, providing valuable depth on all boards. At the NC State Wolfpack Invitational, she finished 11th on the 10-meter board (199.05). During the dual meet season, she finished ninth on the 3-meter (197.85) against Indiana and on the 1-meter (197.40) against Kentucky. For her performances on both the boards and in the classroom, Dodd was named to the All-ACC Academic Team. She was also named to the CSCAA All-American team for platform.

Prep: Arriving in Louisville from Rochester, New York, Dodd competed for two years at Our Lady of Mercy Academy where she finished sixth on the 1-meter springboard at the New York Federation Championships as a sophomore. She dove competitively with Ripfest under the coaching of John Wingfiled and was a 2018 USA Diving Junior National semifinalist, helping her team win Zones for three-straight years. Dodd finaled on the 3m and platform at the 2019 USA Diving Zone A Championships after finaling on all three boards at the Junior Region 2 Championships. She owns best scores of 353.40 on the 1m board and 357.00 on the 3m board.
