Ladybird Ashauna Leverette earns content creation award
CHARLOTTE – The University of Louisville's NIL department was named NIL Program of the Year at the 2025 Athlete Con on Saturday evening.
"It's an honor for UofL to be recognized as the leading NIL program in the country," said Director of NIL & Partnership Services Zack McKay. "At Louisville, we are dedicated to creating lasting partnerships between our student-athletes, sports and brands that are mutually beneficial, and we are very lucky to have the city behind us supporting that same vision."
Representing UofL at Athlete Con were Izzy Bianco (Field Hockey), Nayelis Cabello (Volleyball), Erynn Floyd (Women's Soccer), Colin Kruer (Men's Swimming and Diving), Ashauna Leverette (Ladybirds) and Jake Murdach (NIL Services & Engagement Coordinator).
In addition to UofL taking home the department award, Leverette won the award for Booster Platform NIL Deal in the content creation competition.
Athlete Con was designed as a collaborating intersection for brands, content creation experts and top athlete creators. Athletes participated in content workshops, collaborated with brands, secure NIL deals and produced outstanding content throughout the weekend.
Sam Green, a former college and NBA dancer, has become the go-to content creator in the NIL space, educating and empowering student-athletes, athletic departments and brands to leverage social media as a tool in their business. She partnered with Athletes.Org to present Athlete Con 2.0.
