Cards to Honor Former Athletic Director Tom Jurich

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville, in conjunction with the city of Louisville, will honor former UofL athletic director Tom Jurich at a ceremony on Saturday, June 28 at 10 a.m. near the field hockey and track and field stadiums off of Floyd St.
Former Louisville radio host John Ramsey and Louisville mayor Craig Greenberg will be two of the highlighted speakers, followed by words from Jurich.

Jurich's 20-year tenure at Louisville marked one of the most transformative eras in school history. Under his leadership, Jurich helped the Cards on-and-off the field of play during his career. He increased the graduation rate to 83 percent and helped the department jump in the Learfield rankings from No. 100 to No. 26.Â
Under his leadership, the Cardinals won 67 conference championships and 42 conference tournament titles, while also being a part of Orange and Sugar Bowl wins on the gridiron and outstanding success on the basketball courts.
Fans are encouraged to attend the event free of charge.Â
