Louisville Launches Updated Wordmarks

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville Athletics has officially launched an update to its iconic Louisville wordmark and corresponding wordmarks like "Cardinals" and "The Ville."
Since its origin, the Louisville wordmark has been instantly identifiable on the national stage, unique in its angular nature that complements the primary mark and reflects the spirit of the Louisville brand. It has been updated with adjusted ligatures and an "S" character that modernizes the mark while retaining its original spirit. "Cardinals" and "The Ville" have also been updated with the new characters and style.
Fans will notice the transition to these new marks in branding, on-field uniforms, apparel, and retail apparel on a rolling basis in the coming years. All new instances of Louisville wordmarks should utilize the updated style.
