What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you?
Hispanic Heritage Month is a time to appreciate and cherish the Latinx/Hispanic community and learn more about our background and history.

What does it mean to you to be Hispanic/Latinx?
It means that everything I do, I do it with a passion. I always want to leave my flag at the highest position possible.

What is unique about your culture?
We are very passionate about what carries our flag like sports, food, music, etc. The main sport I follow is Argentinian soccer. I also listen to a lot of reggaetón, specifically Bad Bunny!

In what ways do you celebrate your heritage?
The 25th of May is like our Independence Day. We get together with family and just have an Argentinian grill. In Argentina, we eat red meat almost every day. That will always be my favorite dish from back home.

How do you reflect your culture on the golf course?
When I play golf, I let my Latino side out and I'm very emotional on the course. When it goes really good, I get really excited. When it goes really bad, I get really angry. It's like a roller coaster of emotions constantly on the golf course. I think that's very characteristic of me.

How is golf different back home in Argentina?
The competition in the United States is a lot bigger because you have people from all around the world coming to play. Back home, there's a smaller competition field. The courses are also different in Louisville because they're hillier and softer. Argentina is flat and dry which I prefer because the ball runs farther.

How have you used your platform as a student-athlete to advocate for equal representation for the Hispanic community?
I have created Los Cardenales, and pushed for the growth of the Latinx/Hispanic community within the student athlete community. It has had a great impact on me. I now have great relationships with other Latinx/Hispanic people that serve as a closer family when I miss home.
