OKLAHOMA City, Okla. – The Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association has announced that University of Louisville Assistant Director of Sports Performance Michael Naperalsky was named Master Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Â
UofL Director of Sports Performance Director Jason Dierking presented Naperalsky with the prestigious blue MSCC jacket on May 3 at the association's National Conference in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Â
"Michael has been a key member of our staff on several fronts for the past six years," said Dierking. "He continues to make valuable contributions to this industry and to the next generation of Sports Performance professionals. He is very deserving of this recognition, and we are proud to have him as a member of the Louisville family."
Â
Naperalsky, who began his tenure at Louisville in 2016, directly oversees programming and services for cross country, men's and women's diving, men's and women's golf and rowing. "Michael has been a stable and supportive coach with the rowing program for six years," said UofL rowing head coach Derek Copeland. "His consistent message to the student athletes is only matched by his professionalism and care. He uses every minute he has with them to help them move forward and ultimately blast though walls. The athletes always value their time being coached by Coach Nap and take many of his lessons on with them into the world."
Â
The Granger, Ind., native earned his master's degree in Health & Human Performance from the University of Montana and a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University. He is also a certified member of the NSCA, CSCCa, and USAW.
