
Men's Tennis Falls 4-0 to Memphis

RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Louisville men's tennis team fell 4-0 to Memphis in a neutral match played on VCU's campus Saturday.
"I give credit to Memphis for pressuring us all day," said U of L head coach Rex Ecarma. "They were the more aggressive team. We were hoping to have a strong follow-up after yesterday's upset win but did fell short."
Memphis took the doubles point to start the match with wins at Nos. 1 and 3. Albert Wagner and Alex Gornet fell 8-5 to Connor Glennon and Cedric DeZutter at the top seed and Jeffrey Brown and Chris Simich lost 8-2 to Johnny Grimal and Lukas Vrnak at the three-spot.
Sebastian Stiefelmeyer fell 6-4, 6-2 to Glennon at the top seed. Simich fell 6-3, 6-2 to Lucas Varnak at No. 3. Gornet lost a 7-5, 6-1 decision to David O'Leary at No. 5.
