• With a 69-62 win over 11/14 Colorado, Louisville improves to 12-1 on the season. The Cardinals 12-1 record is tied for the second best 13-game start in school history. The best 13-game start of a season was 13-0 during the 2006-07 season and the best start before suffering the second loss of the season was 19-1 during the 2008-09 season. o 2006-07: 13-0 o 2013-14: 12-1 o 2008-09: 12-1
• The Cardinals improve to 1-1 against Colorado. They lost the first matchup against the Buffaloes 70-66 on Dec. 14, 2012 in Boulder.
• Louisville is now 9-8 all-time against current members of the Pac-12. The most common opponent has been Oregon and Utah, having played both of them three times.
• The Cardinals are now 3-1 in games against ranked opponents this season. Louisville is a perfect 2-0 at home against ranked opponents having defeated then 14/16 LSU 88-67 on Nov. 14. (note: Florida State was not ranked when the Cardinals defeated them but are currently ranked)
• Louisville tied their season-high in free throws made knocking down 24 against Colorado, while setting a new season-high in attempts with 40.
• The Cardinals were held to season-lows against Colorado in field goals (22), field goal percentage (.338), three-point field goals (1), three-point field goal attempts (10), three-point field goal percentage (.100), assists (5) and steals (8).
• Louisville's seven point winning margin against Colorado is the second lowest winning margin and closest win at home this season. The lowest was a 97-92 (5) win over then 11/13 Oklahoma on the road.
• The Cardinals held Colorado to just 12 three-point field goal attempts, the fewest by any opponent this season. They also forced the Buffaloes to commit 32 personal fouls, the most by an opponent.
• Louisville allowed Colorado to pull down 47 rebounds, which is the most by a Cardinal opponent this season.
Player Notes
• Senior Shoni Schimmel scored a season-high 30 points against Colorado, the most by any Louisville player this season. It is the third 30+ point game in Schimmel's career
• Schimmel's 30 point game against Colorado is the first time a Cardinal player has scored 30+ points in a game since she scored 38 against USF on Jan. 30, 2013.
• Schimmel knocked down 13 of 16 free throws against Colorado, both career-highs for her. The 13 free throws made and the 16 free throws attempted are both tied for the third most in school history. The last player to hit 13 free throws was Bria Smith going 13 of 15 against DePaul on Feb. 17, 2013.
• Junior Bria Smith attempted a season-high 12 field goals against Colorado. Her previous high was 10 against Austin Peay. She also scored 13 points, the second most points she has scored this season.
• Smith moves into the top 10 in career free throw attempts with her eight attempts against Colorado moving to ninth on the list at 342. She is eight attempts from moving past Tuonisha Turner for eighth at 349.
• Smith knocked down three free throws against Colorado to give her 223 in her career, pushing her to within eight of moving past Candyce Bingham for 10th on the career free throws made list at 230.
• Redshirt junior Shawnta Dyer tied her career-high with two blocks against Colorado. This marks the sixth time in her career she has recorded two blocks in a game and the second time this season.
