
Swimming and Diving Set to Face Tennessee

The University of Louisville swimming and diving team will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. for a meet against the Volunteers on Oct. 25 at 4:00 p.m., ET.
Both the Louisville men's and women's teams are 1-0 after facing Xavier on Oct. 12. The women also competed in the SMU Classic on Oct. 19 and Oct. 20, finishing in fifth. Louisville junior Joao De Lucca ranks among the nation's best in the 100 and 200-yard freestyles. He is third among all NCAA leaders in the 100 freestyle with a time of 44:04 and eighth in the 200 with a mark of 1:38.76. Louisville freshman Bryan Draganosky ranks among the best in the country in the 1,000-yard freestyle. He ranks seventh in the NCAA with a time of 9:21.14. Fellow freshman Kelsi Worrell has the seventh-best time in the country in the 100 meter butterfly with a 54.21-second mark. The Louisville women's 200 freestyle relay team has the ninth best time in the NCAA with a mark of 1:34.57 and its women's 800 freestyle relay squad ranks 10th with a time of 7:33.68.
Last season, both the Tennessee men and women defeated the Cardinals in Louisville at the Ralph Wright Natatorium. The Volunteer men defeated the Cards 163-137, while the Lady Vols defeated Louisville 183-117.
The Tennessee Lady Vols are 3-0 so far this season, attaining victories against UNC-Wilmington, Indiana, and Kentucky. The Volunteer men have a record of 2-1 this year, with wins against UNC-Wilmington and Kentucky and the lone loss coming to Indiana.
Following the meet against Tennessee the Cards will travel to South Bend, Ind. on Nov. 10 for a meet against Notre Dame at 1:00 p.m., ET. Louisville will then travel to West Lafayette, Ind. for the Purdue Invite, which will be held from Nov. 16 through Nov. 18.
